PRESS RELEASE — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 10, 2021, Town of Wallkill, New York – For decades, Town of Wallkill Volunteer Ambulances Corps has provided high-quality pre-hospital care to the Town of Wallkill and surrounding communities. We are excited to announce that as of August 10, 2021, the organization will be updating its name to Town of Wallkill Emergency Medical Services to highlight the hard work and dedication of its career EMTs and Paramedics.

Ensuring the sustainability of our high standard of service is critical, the organization will continue to deliver high quality pre-hospital care with both EMTs and Paramedics under the same operation. Town of Wallkill Emergency Medical Services plans to phase the name change over several months, in a fiscally responsible way, to maintain response times and high quality of pre-hospital care.

The Town of Wallkill Emergency Medical Services has also brought in new leadership as a part of this change. Alexandria Willshire is now the Executive Director. She is supported by the Board of Directors’ more than century and a half of combined emergency medical service experience.

The Town of Wallkill Emergency Medical Services will continue to operate as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All donations will continue to be tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

For more information, please contact Alexandria Willshire, Executive Director, at (845) 342-9977 or
